On Saturday, September 15, 2007 The rock CAN roll Organization collaborated with The Craigslist Foundations at their 2nd Annual Non-Profit Boot Camp at the Brooklyn Academy of Music.
Over 1000 people converged at BAM and each was asked to bring a non-perishable food donation for the rock CAN roll Organization!
With help from some amazing superstar ‘UPS Volunteers’ we collected and delivered over 1000 pounds of food to two local soup kitchens!

The Executive Director of Craislist Foundation, said in an email to us… “Thanks for all your hard work- seeing those boxes of food was truly one of my highlights for the day!â€
The New York Tri-State Area Nonprofit Boot Camp is a unique community effort planned, produced and promoted in partnership with over 75 organizations. It’s focus was simple – to educate, empower and connect the next generation of nonprofit leaders and social entrepreneurs.
I also had the privilege of sitting on as the member of panel discussion “The Reality of Starting a Nonprofit [Nonprofit Basics]”.
