Long Island was rockin' and rollin' at the North Fork Theatre, February 10, 2007. The Tribute to the Living Legends of Rock 'N Roll, Volume I, presented by B.B. Star Productions was the place to be and be seen! This event also served as the official 2007 'kick off' for the rock CAN roll organization.

rock CAN roll board member, Andrew Hazen, President of Prime Visibility, presented the organization with a $5,000 donation. Andrew decided that in lieu of holiday gifts to his clients, his company wanted to help those that live with hunger and poverty here on Long Island. During a set change, Bob Buchman of Q104, invited Andrew to join him on stage with the concert promoters, Elliot, Michael and Barry of BB Star Productions, to present the rock CAN roll organization with a lottery size check. It came as a huge surprise to me as it was previously discussed and agreed upon that the check would be presented in the amount of $3,000!

In addition to the $5,000 cash donation, concert goers brought CANS of food, and Apple and Eve Juice donated 3,600 juice boxes for children on Long Island that rely on food pantries and soup kitchens. It was an exciting event - thank you to the amazing rock CAN roll volunteers! The Weissman Family, The Hartman Family, Kyle B., Bill and Kimberly, Ruth Dolgin, Alex, Benjamin and Larry Holtzman, Marty Cohen, David Michaels - What a team! Without their generous offer of time and support, the event would not have been the great success it was! For all those who are wondering who won the IPod-Nano...Congratulations go out to Erica Pearson!

On behalf of those who benefited from this amazing night, rock CAN roll thanks BB Star Productions, and the management at The North Fork Theatre at Westbury! Your support of our effort to beat hunger is so greatly appreciated by so many!
