Paradiddle Records, in association with the New York Roots Music Association (NYRMA, www.nyrma.com), is pleased to announce their annual Holiday Hullabaloo – “With a Little Help From My Friends – A Beatles Benefit for rock CAN roll”.
The event will take place Saturday, December 13th at KJ Farrell’s Bar and Grill, 242 Pettit Ave, Bellmore, NY 11710 from 1-6 PM.
Tickets are $20 in advance (By Dec 10) $25 at the door.
NYRMA will be performing the Beatles LPs Meet the Beatles & A Hard Day’s Night in their entirety. Sharing the bill are Paradiddle Records recording artists Butchers Blind. Also performing are Guilty Pleasures, Revolver, and Johnny Zarrow , all playing selections from the Beatles’ vast music catalog.
About Phil: Born in Brooklyn, he moved to Long Island as a youngster and graduated from Holy Trinity High School. Phil worked with Local 66 Laborers working as a Shop Steward and Foreman for many companies and locations in the tri-state area. While performing duties as a Shop Steward, which included monitoring safety conditions on the job and standing up for his fellow workers, Phil discovered his penchant for helping others. After 27 yrs with the local and helping to raise two of the most wonderful children anyone could ask for, Phil retired and decided to try to give back to the community. He volunteers his sound tech abilities at SUNY Stony Brook and to the monthly “Live In The Lobby” at Patchogue Theater. Phil has also teamed up with this amazing organization, rock CAN roll, which he said “it allows me to continue to combine two of my passions, live music and helping others”. Phil helps rCr in some many ways! In addition to collecting food and money donations, he is passionate about getting the word out about hunger issues in our own neighborhoods. He also helps out driving and maintaining the rCr truck to pick up and deliver food donations in the metro area. Phil is definitely making a difference in so many lives.
